Story 01 – Yoonhee
Dog • Representative Soul
Yoonhee was the first soul who truly caught the heart. While many dogs appeared in shelter videos, her presence felt different: clear-eyed, gentle, and quietly bright.
Instead of only evoking pity or sadness, she carried a sense of calm and purity — as if she was standing in front as a representative, saying:
“Through me, you can hear all of us.”
Symbolic impact: inspired the creation of Heaven for Paws and the vision of symbolic “Adopt a Soul.”
Story 02 – New Rescue (Skin and Bone)
Dog • Critical Condition
Another video showed a newly rescued dog, extremely thin, with a body that was hard to look at — almost only skin and bone.
It was painful to see, yet impossible to ignore. This soul represents all animals who arrive at shelters in critical condition: starving, exhausted, but still holding on.
“I will keep listening to the ones who call me.”
Symbolic impact: helped shape the Donate With Light tiers and the focus on emergency food and medical support.
Story 03 – First Light Horse
Horse • Horsesource Division
While the journey seemed to begin with dogs and cats, one day a new world opened: a rescue sanctuary caring for many horses.
Among them, one particular horse felt especially strong and present. That night, the video was left playing while falling asleep — like a silent conversation with a calm, ancient friend:
“We are here too. Don’t forget us.”
From that point, the vision expanded into the Horsesource Division — a branch of Heaven for Paws that remembers rescued horses and larger sanctuary work.
Symbolic impact: expanded Heaven for Paws beyond dogs and cats into horse rescue and sanctuary support.
